Cummins Generator Technologies China unveils STAMFORD PI7H and new training centre to customers

Cummins Generator Technologies is proud to celebrate 20 years of alternator manufacturing in China

On Friday 8th of April 2016, Cummins Generator Technologies customers in China attended a celebratory event to introduce the new STAMFORD PI7H alternator into the China market.

The PI7H is the newest addition to the successful P7 range, renowned for its superior build quality, longevity and reliability. The range combines the proven P7 quality with new innovative cooling technology to increase power density, helping STAMFORD customers reach 2,500 kVA for both standby and continuous power in a cost effective manner.

Soh Leng Leng, General Manager ' China and Asia Pacific commented: "In the initial research and development stages of the project, Cummins Generator Technologies listened the voice of customers and that customer feedback helped form the features of this product. The release of PI7H adds further evidence that we continuously provide new solutions to our customers.'

Customers were also treated to the opening of the Cummins Generator Technologies training centre, the first of its kind. The dedicated facility covers an area of 250 square meters with application and service training courses, and can host 4,200 customers for training each year covering 28 different courses, such as application and product training. Practical courses are available too, featuring an AVR test room for troubleshooting and simulation experiments, to provide a platform to learn assembly techniques.

Courses are available at the Training Center for OEMs, distributors, service agents and technology engineers. It provides the training content to help attendees obtain a deeper understanding of STAMFORD and AvK alternators that will lead to a better customer experience.
